Customer Service Advocate

In-Office | Chicago, IL | $20-$24/hour | Temporary (3-Month Assignment)

Labelmaster is seeking a Customer Service Advocate to support customer order management, product inquiries, and issue resolution. In this customer-facing role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for customers while partnering with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

This position is ideal for someone with customer service experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys learning technical products and processes, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely support. 

What You'll Do

  • Assist customers through phone, email, chat, and other order channels. 
  • Process and document customer orders accurately and efficiently. 
  • Respond to inquiries regarding product pricing, availability, billing, and order status. 
  • Manage customer communications and ensure timely issue resolution. 
  • Escalate customer inquiries and concerns based on urgency and established guidelines. 
  • Support sales quote requests and customer opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Manufacturing teams to address customer needs. 
  • Meet and exceed customer service metrics, including calls handled, response times, conversion rates, and issue resolution goals.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and communications in company systems. 

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Strong communication and customer relationship-building skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. 
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with team members. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRM experience. 
  • Experience with ERP systems. 
  • Customer escalation, problem-solving, and issue triage experience.
  • Customer service training or mentoring experience. 
  • Experience supporting technical products, quotes, or order management processes.
