Position Purpose

We seek a talented, motivated, high-performing software sales professional to drive business development and sales growth by identifying opportunities within Labelmaster’s existing customer base and acquiring new customers directly or through value-added resellers. You will need to develop a strong understanding of customers’ shipping needs and workflows to deliver solutions that address dangerous goods shipping compliance challenges through an industry-leading SaaS solution and professional services. This position will also maintain engagement with customers and reseller partners, support lead generation and progression, and understand technology integrations. 

Essential functions

  • Sell to and communicate with assigned customers
  • Pre-plan call strategy
  • Structure call blocks to maximize sell time and ensure sales process is on track
  • Meet or exceed call metrics
  • Source new sales opportunities via outbound calls
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, customer news and government regulations tied to product lines
  • Execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets

Experience/Skills

  • Strong initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and business understanding. Ability to speak about software shipping technology, processes and software integration between complementary products. Deep knowledge of the product, market, and industry trends and the ability to apply that knowledge to the Customer’s unique business.
  • Deep knowledge of transportation and warehouse management systems (TMS/WMS) and how these interface with complementary services. 
  • An understanding of technology will be required for processing shipments and assisting with the ERP system migration for subscription-based software customers.
  • Proficiency in using current technology, including Microsoft Office and ERP programs.
  • Demonstrated record of sales growth success. Superior sales process and client engagement skills. Growth-mindset and a passion for helping customers make the right decisions for their business consultative approach.
  • High degree of natural curiosity and the drive to seek out information from a variety of sources. Ability to actively listen and ask probing questions to understand the Customer’s needs.
  • Requires strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation) with internal and external customers. Effectively interact across all levels of a company (user, technical, operational, managerial, and executive) and able to identify promoters, detractors, influencers, and decision-makers. 
  • Strong time management, follow-up, project management and organizational skills. Sense of urgency, working in a fast-paced environment to arrange competing priorities and meet our customers’ needs. Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up to date on industry news.
